About P.D.P Performance Nutrition Consultants
I’m Steve, a Performance Nutritionist and the owner of P.D.P Performance Nutrition Consultants, based in North Yorkshire, England. I began my nutrition journey in 2004, completing a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Studies at Leeds Beckett University in 2008, followed by an MSc in Sports & Exercise Nutrition at Coventry University.
My first nutrition role was during my BSc, at the David Beckham Academy. This allowed me to begin working with both members of the public and young male and female athletes. Since then, I have gained a lot of experience working with high level and professional athletes in a variety of sports. I have worked with Harrogate Swimming Squads, Castleford Tigers in Men’s Rugby League. Doncaster Rovers FC and members of the Estonian Men's National Team in Men’s Football. Sunderland Women AFC, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Newcastle United Women, Watford FC Ladies the Estonian Women’s Football Teams in women’s football, and members of the Estonian Biathlon team.
I currently work as the performance nutritionist for Durham Women FC in the FA Women’s Championship.
I also currently support a number of individual athletes, including Professional footballers, International Biathlete's and International track and field athletes. I am an ISAK certified Anthropometrist and a UK Anti-Doping accredited adviser.
I lived and worked in Estonia in 2017 to pursue further experiences of working with international athletes, professional athletes, semi-professional athletes, in winter and summer sports, as well as members of the public. The experiences gained living and working abroad has made me more aware and more able to adapt to people’s different cultures and beliefs.
In previous roles I have been able to create behaviour change through education, using group and one on one work, to allow for individualised nutritional goals. This enables clients to have nutritionally optimised diets, which are created analysed using top of the range dietary analysis software.
If you want success, your nutrition must be individualised to your specific needs. A “one size fits all” approach will not allow you to reach your potential. There can be no corners cut, there is no “magic bullet” that will correct a deficient eating regimen. My nutrition plans are varied, easy to follow and more importantly, sustainable. They are not a “quick fix”, and there are no “fad diets” in sight. My plans give you the best opportunity to reach your full potential.
